Software Requirements

  • Download and Install the latest drivers for your graphics card (nVidia or AMD or intel).

Hardware Requirements

Minimal System Requirements

  • CPU: Intel Penitum 3 or AMD Athlon at 1GHz
  • RAM: 512MB
  • GPU: Support for DirectX 9 or OpenGL 2.0 features width 64MB Ram and at least a resolution of 1024x768 (nVidia GeForce FX series or AMD Radeon 9xxx series or Intel GMA 900 series)
  • HDD: At least 200MB free space
  • Net: An Internet connection


Recommended System Requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core2Duo or AMD Turion 64 X2 at 2GHz
  • RAM: 2GB
  • GPU: Support for DirectX 9.0c or OpenGL 2.1 features with 256MB (nVidia GeForce 7xxx series or AMD Radeon X1xxx series or Intel GMA Xxxx series)
  • HDD: Depends only on the ludiloom games you play or own.
  • Net: 2Mbit Internet connection


Note:

  • System requirements may vary depending on the game implementation. You should also consider the requirements for any particular game.
  • Take a look at the ludiloom graphics preferences interface.


Instalation Guide

Linux

The linux installation is quite easy. The ludiloom package should include all the necessary files and libs. You do not need administrative privileges.

  1. Download the package from the ludiloom main page.
  2. Extract the package "tar xvjf ludiloom_setup_xxxx.tar.bz2".
  3. Run the ludiloom script "./ludiloom".

Windows

The ludiloom windows installation includes three installation processes, you need to install ludiloom, the PhysX tools and the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package. All the packages needed are included in the ludiloom installation file.

1. Download the package from the ludiloom main page.
2. Start the installation process and follow the steps:

3. At this point you have to choose ether you want to install the PhysX tools and the Visual C++ Redistributables, or not. If you already have those installed, uncheck the checkboxes.

4. The nVidia PhysX tools. Just follow the steps till the end.
Note: The nVidia PhysX installation process may uninstall itself if it's already on your system. Make sure you do not uninstall it by mistake at this point.

5. Microsoft Visual C++ Redistrubutables. Just follow the steps, if it's already installed, a screen like the one below will be shown.

6. Run ludiloom from the start menu, executable or desktop icon. You may also run ludiloom from your favorite browser.

Troubleshooting

Q: I click the ludiloom icon and nothing happens.
A: Make sure you have the last graphics drivers. Also verify that you monitor's resolution is at least 1024x768. Verify that you have all dependencies installed, the ones following the ludiloom installation (Microsoft Runtime Libraries and PhysX Tools).

Q: Using Linux I get an error creating OpenGL context.
A: This probably means that you have no OpenGL acceleration in your X session. Refer to your Linux distribution documentation in order to enable 3D acceleration.
